Customer Success Story
Alexander Müller (Switzerland)
The Challenge: Alexander’s insurance company had a data centre with a traditional three-tier network architecture that was becoming a bottleneck as workloads were virtualised and east-west traffic between servers increased. The network was designed for north-south traffic patterns and simply wasn’t suited to the way modern virtualised workloads actually communicated. Performance problems were increasing as virtualisation adoption grew.
The vorza360 Solution: We designed a spine-leaf network architecture replacement that was built for east-west traffic patterns typical of virtualised environments. We deployed the new switching infrastructure in parallel with the existing network, migrated workloads progressively to the new architecture with validated testing at each stage, and implemented network virtualisation overlays using VMware NSX to provide microsegmentation and workload mobility capabilities.
The Result: East-west network performance improved dramatically after the architecture change. The performance bottlenecks that had been increasing as virtualisation adoption grew disappeared, and the microsegmentation provided by NSX gave Alexander’s security team the ability to apply granular policies between application tiers that had been impossible on the flat legacy network. His data centre team described it as modernising the data centre’s network to match the workload architecture that had already changed.
Priyanka Gupta (India)
The Challenge: Priyanka’s technology company had virtualised its server estate but hadn’t changed the data centre network, which still had physical VLANs manually configured on physical switches. Network changes that should have taken minutes to implement were taking days because every change required physical switch configuration, and the network team was a constant bottleneck for application teams who needed environment changes quickly.
The vorza360 Solution: We implemented network virtualisation using VMware NSX that decoupled the logical network from the physical switching infrastructure. Application teams could provision virtual networks, load balancers, and firewall policies through a self-service portal without requiring physical switch changes. We migrated existing workloads to the virtual network fabric in phases, validating connectivity at each stage before proceeding.
The Result: Priyanka’s application teams stopped waiting on the network team for environment changes. Network provisioning that had taken days was completed in minutes through the self-service portal. The physical network team, freed from manual switch configuration work, shifted their focus to capacity planning and infrastructure management. Her CTO described the change as removing one of the most consistent sources of friction in the engineering organisation.
Emeka Chibuike (Nigeria)
The Challenge: Emeka’s bank was building a new data centre and needed to design the networking architecture to support both existing workloads and a planned private cloud platform. The networking had to provide the performance required by core banking systems, the flexibility needed by the private cloud, and the security isolation required between different banking application environments, all from a single physical infrastructure.
The vorza360 Solution: We designed a converged data centre network architecture that used a high-performance spine-leaf physical fabric supporting multiple logical overlay networks: dedicated overlays for core banking, private cloud workloads, and administrative systems, each with appropriate performance characteristics and security isolation. We produced detailed design documents covering both the physical and logical layers in a format suitable for the data centre build contractor.
The Result: The new data centre launched with a network architecture that supported all three workload types from day one. The core banking systems had the dedicated performance profile they required, the private cloud overlay provided the flexibility the development team needed, and the security isolation between environments satisfied Emeka’s information security requirements. The construction contractor described the design documentation as among the most complete they had worked from.
Karolina Nowak (Poland)
The Challenge: Karolina’s e-commerce company ran a data centre that had grown organically and had significant cabling and switching complexity that made troubleshooting slow and changes risky. A significant hardware failure had exposed how poorly documented and understood the physical network was, and she needed both better documentation and a path to reducing the complexity.
The vorza360 Solution: We performed a physical and logical data centre network audit, tracing every cable, documenting every switch configuration, and producing accurate network diagrams for the first time. We identified rationalisation opportunities, redundant cabling, unused switch ports, and legacy equipment that could be removed, and implemented a structured simplification programme that reduced the physical complexity without any availability impact.
The Result: The physical network complexity reduced significantly over the simplification programme, and the documentation produced during the audit gave Karolina’s team a reliable reference for the first time. The next significant troubleshooting incident was resolved in a fraction of the time the previous failure had taken because the team could follow documented paths rather than tracing physical cables by hand.
Thanh Nguyen (Vietnam)
The Challenge: Thanh’s hosting company operated a multi-tenant data centre and needed to provide network isolation between tenants while managing their shared physical infrastructure cost-effectively. The existing approach used physical separation that was expensive and limited flexibility, and they were losing potential tenants who needed more dynamic connectivity options than the physical separation model could provide.
The vorza360 Solution: We designed a software-defined networking architecture using OpenStack Neutron that provided logical network isolation between tenants over a shared physical infrastructure, with each tenant able to define their own internal network topology, security group rules, and external connectivity options. We implemented the new architecture alongside the existing model and migrated willing tenants progressively as the new capabilities became available.
The Result: Thanh’s hosting company was able to offer tenants flexible, self-service network configuration options that the physical separation model had never allowed. Several prospective customers who had declined the service under the old model became tenants once the software-defined networking capabilities were available. The infrastructure costs per tenant also reduced because the shared physical fabric was more efficiently utilised than the dedicated physical separation approach.
Nadia Kowalczyk (Poland)
The Challenge: Nadia’s healthcare organisation was consolidating two data centres into one as part of a cost reduction programme. The consolidation required integrating two different network architectures, two different virtualisation platforms, and two different security zone designs into a single coherent data centre network without disrupting clinical systems that ran continuously.
The vorza360 Solution: We designed the consolidated data centre network architecture that accommodated the workloads from both original data centres, established a migration sequence that moved workloads in an order that preserved their dependencies and avoided impacting clinical system availability, and implemented the consolidation in a series of planned maintenance Windows coordinated with clinical operations. We validated each migration against defined success criteria before proceeding to the next.
The Result: The data centre consolidation completed on schedule without any unplanned clinical system downtime. Each workload migration was executed according to the tested plan and validated before the next began. The cost reduction target that had driven the consolidation was achieved, and Nadia’s IT director described the planning rigour as the reason a consolidation of that complexity had gone smoothly.

Got questions? We’ve got answers. Find everything you need to know about using our platform, plans, and features
What is data center networking and virtualization, and what does vorza360 deliver?
Data center networking is the design and management of the high-speed interconnections between servers, storage systems, and external networks within a data center. Data center network virtualization creates logical network segments, switches, and routers entirely in software, eliminating the need for dedicated physical hardware for every network function. vorza360 delivers complete Data Center Networking & Virtualization services: Current State Assessment, Virtual Network Design, Virtualization Deployment (implementing platforms like VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, or OpenStack), Integration & Automation (connecting the virtual network with physical systems and setting up automation using Ansible and Terraform), Testing & Optimization, and ongoing Monitor & Operations support covering the full data center and network operations lifecycle.
What are the business benefits of data center network virtualization?
Data center network virtualization delivers five key business benefits: Agility (new network segments can be provisioned in minutes through software rather than days of physical hardware work), Cost Reduction (fewer physical devices to purchase, power, cool, and maintain), Scalability (capacity can be added by provisioning additional virtual resources rather than buying and installing hardware), Improved Security (micro-segmentation technology lets vorza360 create fine-grained security policies between individual servers, so a compromised application cannot reach neighboring systems), and Automation (routine network operations like provisioning, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting can be automated, reducing manual effort and human error). These benefits compound over time, making a virtualized data center significantly more efficient and cost-effective than a purely physical one.
Which data center networking platforms and frameworks does vorza360 support?
vorza360 has hands-on expertise across the leading data center networking technologies: VMware NSX for software-defined networking and micro-segmentation in VMware environments; Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) for intent-based networking in Cisco data centers; OpenStack for open-source cloud infrastructure management; Kubernetes for container networking and service mesh in cloud-native data centers; Microsoft Hyper-V for Windows Server virtualization environments; Ansible and Terraform for network automation and Infrastructure as Code; EVPN-VXLAN for scalable multi-tenant overlay networking; and Juniper Contrail for carrier-grade SDN deployments. The platform selection is always made based on your existing infrastructure, team skills, vendor relationships, and long-term technology direction.
How does vorza360 integrate virtualized data center networking with public cloud?
vorza360 designs Multi-Cloud Integration architectures that bridge your private data center network with public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) using secure, dedicated connectivity: AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, or GCP Cloud Interconnect for private, high-bandwidth links between your data center and cloud. The virtual network in your data center extends into the cloud using consistent VXLAN or EVPN overlays, so applications running in both environments communicate as if they are on the same local network, without traversing the public internet. A unified management plane (using VMware NSX or Cisco ACI) provides a single control point for network policy across both on-premise and cloud resources, making your hybrid cloud environment operationally coherent rather than two separate silos.
How does vorza360 modernize an aging physical data center network?
vorza360’s Data Center Modernization Cycle begins with a thorough Current State Assessment, documenting your existing physical network architecture, identifying bottlenecks and single points of failure, cataloging hardware running beyond its support lifecycle, and mapping application traffic flows. Based on this assessment, we produce a phased modernization roadmap: typically starting with deploying a network automation and management layer (gaining visibility and control of existing infrastructure), then incrementally introducing virtual networking capabilities (software-defined segments, load balancers) alongside the physical hardware, gradually shifting workloads to the software-defined environment, and finally decommissioning legacy physical hardware on a validated timeline. This phased approach ensures continuous availability of your critical systems throughout the modernization process.
